Today's Game

Postby binder » Sun Mar 04, 2018 4:15 am

I've owned a copy of Iron Stars for years, but have never really gotten around to doing anything more than printing out the tokens etc. Well today that changed!

Running through the 1st scenario in about 2 and a half hours, a mate and I had a fun time 'cruiser' clashing. The final result really close with the British Battlecruiser the last ship standing for my friend, while I had a single Russian cruiser and the majority of my Destroyers left intact. The score turned out to be 100.25 VPs for him and 93 for me; I curse the last round when two of my Light Cruisers went down to his Torpedoes and a limited (but effective) Aft Primary and Secondary batteries!

We were impressed enough that I think a few more games are in order. If I have any criticism, then its on the names of the British ships... need to be more like 'Victory', 'Indomitable' or 'Swift' :P

Some Photos attached below with a sample of my own record sheets...

Very nice! I like the redesigned ship displays.
