Quick conversions of Starmada weapons/weapon arcs to Starmada Fleet Ops

First convert your weapons into an equivalent weapon in SFO

Laser I: will be a Range 10 weapon with Double damage modifier
Proton Torpedoes: will always be overloaded so It’s range 3 slow firing, and does triple damage.
Laser III: will be a range 6 weapon that has no modifiers.
You can make what ever you want maybe using the guidelines in the SFO book.

Now we need to convert your weapon arcs to SFO
Lets say my ship in Starmada has a
Laser I that covers arcs ABCD
Laser I BD
Laser I AC
Laser I CDEF
Proton Torpedo AB
Laser III ABCDEF

X Laser I: I have 3 that cover the forward arc, three that cover port or starboard, and one that covers the rear

So in SFO terms this will look like
X Laser I 3/2 (3/2) 1/1 5-10 Double Damage
Y Laser III 1/1 (1/1) 1/1 3-6
Z Proton Torpedo 1/1 2-3 Slow, Triple Damage

Yes I know that one Laser should not be able to provide fire- power to the front and starboard at the same time.

This is fixed with a simple rule that states, “When firing each ship only fire out of only ONE firing arc”. With this rule you can make a weapon that fires in multiple arcs with out having to keep track of what weapon fired in what arc. It’s also easier to convert Starmada ships with out any math. This also makes for interesting decisions the player must make when they have multiple ships to fire at. You are also going to pay a hefty cost to fire in different arcs.

Or you can do away with my proposed rule and just use the FO ship as is.

Anyway I was looking for a faster way to convert Federation Commander ships to SFO and came up with this Idea what do you think?
No matter where you go there you are.

SFO already works this way. The rule on page 10 says

Each Battery may be used to attack one target within the appropriate range and firing arc.

This means your Y Laser III can only fire out of one arc per turn. So the attack dice/traits are a measure of the total that can fire out of a single arc.
