Generic 1" AE Counters v2

Postby omega40k » Wed Jan 11, 2012 12:17 am

Made these up because, one I prefer using counters, I like playing on 1" hex maps and no one else had done any up. There are 6 different colours of counters (Black, Blue, Green, Purpe, Red, Yellow).

I Made counters for Battleships, Battlecruisers, Cruisers, Destroyers, Gunships, 2 different sets of fighter counters, Breachers, Boarding Pods, Strikers, and Seekers.

v2- Moved the number on the Gunship up a little.

These look excellent! Perhaps I will be able to get my group to use them, thereby reducing confusion over types / classes ("Wait, why did you use D1, which is supposed to be a destroyer, for your battleship?" "It looked pointy."). We've been using color-tweaked versions of the MJ12-issue counters. About the only improvement I could suggest would be making them hexagonal... guess I could just cut 'em down to hexes when I cut them out.

I went with Square counters because hex counters are a pain in the but to make and hex counters don't have a lot of room for text. And the shape for the Battleship was because it reminded me of a Star Destroyer, and although it has "Destroyer" in the name the Star Destroyer is very much a Battleship, in my opinion.

So what would you call the Executor then?

Titan Dreadnought
or
Mobile City
or
"Really Frick'n Big Ship"

Yea The Super Star Destroyer is one of those ships that is too big to be properly classified and properly made in any space combat system. Same as the Warhammer 40k Battlefleet Gothic ships.

The stats of the Super Star Destroyer are:

Length
8,000 meters

Maximum acceleration
1230 G's

Hyperdrive rating
Class 2

Armament
250 Heavy turbolaser batteries
250 Turbolaser batteries
250 Ion cannons
250 Concussion missile tubes (and that's just the tubes!)
40 Tractor beam emplacements

Crew
280,734

Passengers
38,000 troops

Found these stats at http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Super-class_Star_Destroyer

Those stats are the old RPG stats. The current cannon length is 19km. And she is a star dreadnought.

Cheers
