New release for Alien Armada.
Made with Excel 2003.

No major changes from last v8 release.
Added Extended Range to the fighter options, Expanding Sphere Generator (ESG) to equipment & Hellbore trait to weapon options.

And before anyone asks, no, there is no SFO support. I haven't bought the game yet and at this point I'm not sure when or if I will.

v9.0a-Corrected a spelling error in the Weapons sheet. "Exgtra Shield Damage" should be "Extra Shield Damage".
v9.0b-Corrected Flotilla DRAT Multiplier. 50% reduction should have been before other additions to the DRAT.
v9.0c-Added the modifiers for Launch Tubes to the SFB Armada Drones & Shuttles.

I love this ship builder, but I cant seem to get the fighter TL mod to actually apply to any fighters.

I build the fighters on the fighter build sheet, then on the ship sheet, input the fighter TL level. But when putting fighters
on the ship, they keep coming up listed with their normal SU cost, not the modified one.

What am I missing, cuz Im pretty sure its user error rather than a problem with the spreadsheet.

The tech level modifier is applied to the amount of SU's that the Carrier option takes up not the fighters themselves.

For example: For 2 standard 50 point fighters you need 100 points of Carrier. At normal tech 0, the 100 points of Carrier takes up 100 SU's of space. At tech 2 (x.5), the 100 points of Carrier only takes up 50 SU's but you still have room for the 100 points of fighters.

How do people print the ship sheets?

I may be reinventing the wheel but I've come up with a nice solution, although took a while to set up. I've created a new sheet that has 3 references to the ship sheet. I've then changed the formulas so that the sheet name is dynamic. I can then enter the sheet name I want to print and I then get 3 sheets to a page, without having to mess about with printer settings each time.

If this is useful I'll post my version.

Corrected a spelling error in the Weapons sheet. "Exgtra Shield Damage" should be "Extra Shield Damage". :oops:

Love the work you've done here, and love how it allows me to easily tweak things to find the right balance.

That said, on my wee 13" Macbook screen, it's a little hard on the eyes. Did you give any thought to breaking up the flotilla/ship/station template tabs into two tabs each, one with the workspace, and another with the printable ship record and the Drake notation?

I can zoom in, as a work around, but if you're feeling unburdened with other tasks...

The problem with that is you end up with twice as many tabs (2 per ship) and some of my fleets have over a 100 already.

Ah, yes, I'm still new at this. My fleets are comparatively tiny...
