I like it !!

I just wish it would calculate SU's for fighters. I've DL'd it several times and it just doesn't figure SU's.

Or is there something that has to be done after entering all the fighter data to get it to calculate???

Thanks,
James

EDIT: I've reinstalled Open Office and re DL'd the ship builder. Still doesn't work.

It should be automaticly updating the Capacity column on the Fighter Build sheet as you build your fighters.

I use Excel 2000 and it is working correctly.

I use Open Office Calc, I have tested this just now. I think it is a formatting problem in column AH.
The Fighter build sheet would give a "value not available" unless the Attack number choice cells are formatted to text.
Problem lies in getting the "+" to show up after the number. It will if the cell is text but not as a number.
Just one of those little quirks between the two progs.

Let's see if I understand this. I have column AH formated as "General" in Excel. Open Office interpets that as "Number" instead, so it loses the '+' from the end. That breaks the lookup value for calculating the capacity.

If I change the format from "General" to "Text" will that fix the problem for Open Office?

It fixes it when I change the cell format in OpenOffice.

I made the change to the cell format on the Fighter Build sheet. I also added Launch/Recovery, Critical Save & Damage control info to the Notes section of the display.

See OP for file v6.1c.

I was playing around with the newest version of the sheet and found that the Drake notation section is not putting the weapon statistics in place. It is putting the arcs and ammo in, but the error trace leads back to a box without a formula in it(?). The weapon data is going to the "card" display, but only returns an NA on the Drake Notation. I closed and reloaded the shipbuilder and got the same result so I don't think it is anything I did :)
