Saw that the Hobb had the bronzes back and was cleaning them up to get out over on SCN yesterday. Being con season, things are probably gonna slow up a lil bit with folks off and gaming.

I expect to have the masters handed to me at Origins.

Hey Ken!

It's trending to the end of September and I have about a month-and-a-half to go before Millennium Con 12!

Any ETA on the Rooskies yet?

I'll need time to base them and paint them up before the show (and run a playtest or three). If it's going to be another few weeks I'll probably need to make other arrangements.

They're being packed up now into fleet boxes, with extra ships for the pre-order customers in them. They should ship next week.

Got my Japanese squadron today...the ships were smaller than i had thought they'd be but that's okay. They'll make great cruisers and smaller craft at the scale of my other fleets. The one thing that disappointed me most though was the detailing was not as crisp as I'd hoped and what there is will be hard to bring good definition to when painting. Still, there were almost no mold lines that I could see on the mini's and the flash is very easy to clean off such as it is.

"Smaller than expected", hmm.

Well, maybe my Rooskies, as they are big-ship heavy, will work out ok when they finally arrive.

...just checked mail today.. still nothing.

Guess that means they won't be on the table at Millennium Con next weekend. If I got them today i would have had time to base and paint them tomorrow. Now it's too late.

Rats, Guess the Irrational Designs fleet become the Neo Soviets and I'll use my Jovian Chronicles ships as my Terran Republic fleet.

Very disappointed.
