About material, there is the babylon 5 vault:http://b5warsvault.wikidot.com. But I suppose you know it.

What is the first line above the hull, with the diamond?

Also, I suppose that the warp drive is the hyperdrive.
And what are the rules for science, and security?

I have not changed any rules, just a name here and there.

The Diamond is the screen row. This can represent a deflector or armor. Effectively it is extra hit boxes.
Hyperdrive = Warp Drive.
Science is for scenario or campaign play.
Marines = Security.
Ionized hull = Enhanced Hull
And some others I will mention as they come up. But it is all core rules.

For the diamond, I found the rules today.
But I wonder why both the screens (deflector) and the shield? Is the later metallic armour?

Thanks for the answers of the other questions.

Star Trek shields work in two ways. If possible they will completely deflect or even absorb an attack hence the "shield" in game rules.
Not all attacks can be deflected or absorbed without a cost though. Kind of like a second layer of protection that will "take the hit" before damage gets to the hull. This would be "screens" in game rules. Screen somewhat represent a combination of armor and protective shields but more so on the shield side. Typically in Star Trek it is all about your energy shields. They go down and you go poof! On ships without a shield rating assume the screens represent armor.
I like to use the optional rule of bleed through. This just feels more Star Trek to me.

I will include many non-cannon ships to fill the gaps, and there are HUGE gaps! So it was needed but nothing is stopping anyone from choosing to use only official cannon ships if they so choose. I will include all cannon ships. (as long as I think they pass the CGI BS test and we all know how bad much of the ST CGI was across ALL the series. Sad thing is now that i think about it, TOS may have had the best "graphics". They never got the scale wrong! ;)

On a side note, I am almost done with the entire (1st edition) Federation Ship List. I have had to redo it many times as I ran into problems with progression and I am sure after feedback I will go over it again before making it official. I know a massive amount of ST ship stuff but it never hurts to get another point of view or opinion because a lot of this I have had to make a best guess. :roll:

I am working hard on this! have put well over a hundred hours into this. I have made many drafts and am hammering out the inconsistencies. Currently I am almost done with the Federation timeline with ship launch dates included. This is where I have melded Cannon, SFB, FASA, and other sources into one timeline that makes sense. Now I have had to modify the stardates so it all works but I think most people will be really happy with the result!
I of course have not added every ship SFB and FASA have made (many of them I think are POO, personal opinion :mrgreen: or just redundant) BUT I will add any not included if requested!
